Felipe Corcione
Felipe Corcione, brasileiro, é um artista multifacetado, formado em Fine Arts (Hons) pela Chelsea College of Arts (UAL). Durante seu tempo na faculdade teve a oportunidade de explorar varias vertentes importantes das artes incluindo performance, ilustração, instalação, escultura e também a oportunidade de explorar materiais e técnicas em bronze e cerâmica
Felipe visa relacionar a vida humana e não humana, com interesses em mitologia/teologia/espiritualidade, sci-fi e biologia. Procura em seu íntimo expor uma perspectiva pós-humanista em busca da beleza no abjeto, encontrando nessa ideologia filosófica nossa relação com o meio, fundindo as diferenças socioculturais sem destruí-las.
Seu trabalho é carnavalesco (familiar, excêntrico e profano) como forma de desmistificar as dinâmicas hegemônicas dos discursos sociais. Utiliza desse formato familiar e informal, que permite tudo, para unir o que estaria normalmente separado. Assim abusa de um imagético antropomórfico em seu trabalho extendendo-o à uma simbologia pessoal. Ele tem uma influencia visual estética influenciada fortemente pelo Neo classicismo, Renascença, Barroco e Rococo.
Felipe, fascinado pela ideia do corpo humano, o coloca como abjeto; em alguns casos simbólico, sendo ele em partes ou em uma integridade visceral, sintetizado com botânica microscópica e macroscópica, trazendo então uma nova forma, um novo corpo que é deslocado de sua existência material e entende-se como parte de um coletivo maternal, terreno.
Felipe busca quebrar o status quo, sugerindo uma abertura a novos corpos, ídolos e espaços.
Felipe Corcione, Brazilian, is a multifaceted artist, received his BA (Hons) Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Arts (UAL). During his time in college, he had the opportunity to explore several key fronts including performances, illustrations, installations, sculptures and also the opportunity to explore materials and techniques such as bronze and ceramics.
Felipe aims to relate human and non-human life, with interests in mythology/theology/spirituality, sci-fi and biology. He seeks in its depths to expose a post-humanist perspective in search of beauty in the abject, finding in post-human ideology our relationship with the environment, fusing sociocultural differences without destroying them.
His work is carnivalesque (family, eccentric and profane) as a way to demystify the hegemonic dynamics of social discourses. It uses this familiar and informal format, which allows everything, to unite what would normally be separate. Thus, He abuses of anthropomorphic imagery in his work, extending it to a personal symbology. He has a great visual influence by the aesthetics of Neo-Classicism, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo.
Felipe is fascinated by the idea of the human body, he places it as abject; in some cases symbolic, being it in parts or in visceral integrity, synthesised with microscopic and macroscopic botany. Thus, bringing a new form, a new body that is displaced from its material existence and understood as part of a maternal, earthly collective.
Felipe seeks to break the status quo, suggesting an opening to new bodies, idols and spaces.
